Papé celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2018 and kicked off a company-wide, 108- location tour by the Papé family and executive teams which concluded in early February of 2019.
For the family, this was an “opportunity to thank our members for all of their efforts in building the reputation that Papé has today,” said Jordan Papé, CEO of The Papé Group, Inc. Celebrating every member of Papé and their commitment to the customer experience was the focal point of the tour. As the President of the Agriculture and Turf division, Ryan Papé said:
“With Papé, you don't come here just looking for a job. You come here pursuing and building excellence; always looking to improve [yourself]. That most importantly starts by caring for your customers and providing the best solutions, and this couldn’t be done without a lot of great members, with a lot of great ideas.”
Over 3,100 members with a lot of great ideas, a wealth of experience, and a shared perspective for what makes working for Papé worthwhile: a dedication to the customer by providing the best service and most innovative solutions available.
Jeff Coppernoll, who has worked for Papé Material Handling in Sacramento for the last 19-years, shared his perspective of Papé’s relationship with the customer:
“We go miles ahead of the game to make sure our customers are happy, and it makes me proud to deliver to people that are depending on us, to keep them moving! I have never seen a time where anyone has been let down and not been well taken care of.”
Jeff’s sentiment reflected the perspective of other Papé members, including Carl Laux, a Corporate Product Specialist for Papé’s Agriculture and Turf division. He spoke to the company’s pursuit of innovation and being on the forefront of modernization in machinery, with the customer's efficiency and profitability always being front of mind. Serving the customer’s best interests could be seen as the primary reason for Papé’s success over the last 80 years, and translates to every level of the company, from CEO to salesman.
When Randy Papé became the CEO in 1981, he and his wife, Susie Papé, Board Chair of the Papé Group, Inc., envisioned a company “where the people who connect with our customers every day are at the top… and it’s important to me to thank every one of you. You’ve pulled together, and because of that, we succeed, without you, we wouldn’t have a company.”
